I have a weighted vest! I've been wearing it around, during exercise but also just in my daily life. It's only six pounds and I'm not quite up to wearing it all day yet, but eventually I hope to be carrying a significant chunk of weight around all the time. Then when I go touristing with a heavy backpack, or wear a heavy aluminum cosplay, I can take it off and it'll be like every other day and I won't be exhausted two hours into having a lot of fun.

Thanks. It occurred to me because I recently lost some weight. I figured, I used to be able to carry that weight around without thinking about it, so presumably I can work back up to doing that again with "artificial" weight.

Somewhat, yeah. It does feel like a comfy hug some of the time, though other times it feels like the thing making my upper arms sore.

It's now relatively comfortable to wear the vest all day. Still digs into my shoulder blades when I sit on the bus, but c'est la vie. Maybe next month I'll look into adding more weight.
